Isaac Falconberry was appointed as the overseer of the road from Blewett's Ferry to the Court House in January, 1773, in Anson County, North Carolina. The road lead from Blewett's Ferry to Drowing Creek "over the rocky fork of Hitchcock Creek". Source: N. C. State Department Archives and History, Anson County Court Minutes 1771 - 1776
