Forest Falconbury was a Sergeant in the United States Army. He elisted in the Regular Army on April 9, 1917, in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was sent to Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and Ft. Hancock, New Jersey. His assignment was to Company M, 320th Infantry, 80th Division, and he was sent overseas on May 26, 1918. He was wounded on October 13, 1918, in the Argonne Forest and died the same day from his injuries. Forest married Ruby. Forest next married Hazel Marie Huff, daughter of Walter Monroe Huff and Ida Siefer, on 27 May 1917 in Laporte, Indiana.1 (Hazel Marie Huff was born on 14 Mar 1897 in Bremen, Marshall County, Indiana and died on 24 Aug 1988 in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.) |
