Virgil Delk was born 26 April 1898 in Casey Co. Ky. and died 11 July 1965 in Stanford, Lincoln Co. Ky. at the Stanford Hospital and was buried 14 July 1965 at Double Springs Cemetery in Lincoln co. Ky. He was the son of George Delk and Vernetta Jones (Wall) Delk.
His wife Lillian O'Dell Campbell was born 30 May 1899 in Casey Co. Ky. and died 12 Oct 1980 in Danville, Boyle Co. Ky. at Ephrium McDowell Hospital and was buried 15 Oct 1908 at Double Springs Cemetery. She was the daughter of Millard Filmore Campbell and Pricilla Belle (Falconberry) Campbell.
They had four children:
1. Vernetta Priscilla (Delk) Lucas 21 Sep. 1918 - 28 Mar 2003 buried Double Springs Cemetery
2. Ada Christine (Delk) Kimbrough, Shearer, Edwards, 8 Mar.1920- 11 Sep 1993 Double Springs Cemetery
3. Chilcie Mae Delk 21 Feb. 1922 - 8 Feb. 1923; Falconberry Cemetery
4. Sherman Donald Delk 12 Dec. 1929 - living in Ruckersville Va. - retired U.S. Navy
