He was living with his wife in the home owned by his father Jesse. The record appears to indicate that he and Viola had been married less than a year. Viola died at the age of 24 in 1935 and, according to the obituary of Herbert's son, Arnold, he remarried a woman whose first name was Hazel. I have not learned anything more about his second wife. Herbert married Viola Cunningham about 1930. (Viola Cunningham was born about 1911 and died on 10 Aug 1935 in Lincoln County, Kentucky 4.)
