Jessie V. Reece
STANFORD - The funeral for Jessie Victor Reece, 73, of 572 Greenbriar Road, Waynesburg, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Vola Brown. Burial with military rites by Caswell Saufley American Legion Post 18 will be in Grove Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Duff, Eric Jenkins, Jimmy Rhodes, Jason Robbins, Keith Greenwell and Chris Smith.
He died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born July 29, 1923, in Lincoln County, he a son of the late Hassel and Della Falconbury Reece. He was the widower of Mildred "Polly" Reece. He was a retired electrician and a member of the electrician's union, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jean Smith of Phoenix, Ariz., and Debbie Lee Padgett of Louisville; a brother, William C. Reece of Waynesburg; three sisters, Christine Young, Elwanda Gourley and Ivadene Caudill, all of Waynesburg; four grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.
